Chautauqua in June Classes at 21 Brix Winery

21 Brix Winery will be hosting two workshops for this year’s “Chautauqua in June” event series. Classes are limited to 20 people, so reserve your spot early.

Wine Seasonings and Tastings: May 30, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for $25.

Learn to pair wines with certain foods and why some wines taste different or better when paired with specific foods.

Create Your Own Wine Blend: June 9 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for $60.

Includes wine making supplies, buffet lunch, and your own blended bottle of wine to take home.

21 Brix Winery Wins 9 Medals at the Riverside International Wine Competition

21 Brix Winery picked up 9 more medals this week at the Riverside International Wine Competition in Riverside, California. Our Raspberry Wine and Dry Riesling won the Chairman’s Award (Unanimous Gold); House Red, Thirsty Elephant, Sweet Riesling, Chardonnay, Ellatawba, and Semi-Dry Riesling won silver; and Gewurztraminer won bronze. The Raspberry also won Best of Class. Visit the winery and taste our latest medal winners. Tasing room hours are 10-6 every day.

The asparagus patch will be open May 9 from 9-10am. The patch is located near the winery on Route 20 across from the Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Wine & Cheese Weekend - Lake Erie Wine Country Event

21 Brix Winery will be taking part in Lake Erie Wine Country’s annual Wine & Cheese Weekend, May 18-20. We will feature a pairing of Spinach and Artichoke Dip with our new Semi-Dry Riesling. All of the wineries on the trail will participate in this event, each with a delicious food and wine pairing. Tickets are $35/person and includes the food and wine pairing at each winery, plus wine tasting, a cheese cutting board and spreader gift, booklet with all of the recipies in the event, a Lake Erie Wine Country wine glass, and a $5 voucher to use at any winery or participating restaurant. The perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day!

21 Brix Winery Wins 7 Medals at the 2012 Pacific Rim Wine Competition

21 Brix Winery took home seven medals at the recent 2012 Pacific Rim Wine Competition held in San Bernardino, Ca. Our humble House White won best white wine at the show, earning us our first gold medal. Six other wines won silvers, including House Red, Thirsty Elephant, Ellatawba, Semi-dry Riesling, Dry Riesling and Chardonnay. 21 Brix Winery competed against over 1400 other wines from over 300 wineries from more than 10 countries.
